Bible’s Buried Secrets Website

November 4, 2008

PBS has launched a companion website for its upcoming NOVA special The Bible’s Buried Secrets. The special will premier Nov 18th at 8:00PM.From a press release:

Like the film, the website explores the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament, from the perspective of biblical archeologists and biblical scholars using text, video, and interactive features.

Additionally, the site includes a unique page where people can ask questions about the history of the early Israelites and the origins of the Hebrew Bible. From now through November 19, the day after the broadcast, NOVA will collect your e-mailed questions. Three prominent archeologists and biblical scholars, Carol Meyers, William Dever, and Michael Coogan, will respond to selected questions.  Plus, watch a newly posted video clip of the prologue.

In the coming weeks, the site will include a page with religious perspectives on the film–hear what members of clergy, representing a variety of faiths, have to say about the program.

Pretty savvy.

Is there any evidence in support of the Exodus? Did it really happen? Ph.D. scientist Gerald E. Aardsma has studied and written on the Exodus for many years. He has some compelling evidence which shows that the Exodus did indeed happen! If you are looking for factual, scientific data, Dr. Aardsma has a book regarding the Exodus that you can order by going to this link: http://www.biblicalchronologist.org/products/Exodus_book.php.
