Jimgetz.org is the personal blog of James R. Getz Jr., a doctoral candidate at Brandeis University.
Jim is finishing a dissertation on the biblical and Ugaritic ritual texts for the Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis. His work focuses on Ugaritic, biblical and the more general ancient Near Eastern ritual texts but also includes the rest of both the biblical and larger ancient Near Eastern corpora of texts.
Jim has recently moved from the Boston area to Philadelphia. He is adjuncting at several universities around Philly while completing his dissertation, hunting for a full time job and trying to be a loving husband and father.
